Most entry-level courses, like Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water Diver, require participants to be at least 10 years old. Some advanced and professional courses may have higher age requirements.
For beginner courses like Discover Scuba Dive, no prior swimming experience is needed. However, for Open Water Diver and advanced courses, you should be able to swim 200 meters and float/tread water for 10 minutes.
The Open Water Diver course is your first certification, allowing you to dive up to 18 meters (60 feet). The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you build confidence, learn new dive skills, and extend your depth limit to 30 meters (100 feet).
Yes, all snorkeling equipment is included in the tour package, so you don’t need to bring your own.
PADI certifications never expire. However, if you haven’t dived for a long time, it’s recommended to take a Scuba Review course to refresh your skills.
The PADI Scuba Diver certification is a shorter, entry-level course allowing you to dive under professional supervision, with a depth limit of 12 meters (40 feet). The Open Water Diver course offers more independence, letting you dive up to 18 meters (60 feet) with a buddy.
After completing your Rescue Diver course, the next step is the PADI Divemaster course, which is the first level of professional training. This course allows you to lead dives, assist instructors, and work in the dive industry.
